What savings rate will I earn?

Our SmartSave account currently earns 3.80% APY and our Platinum Savings earns up to 4.25% APY on balances over €10,000. CD rates range from 4.25% to 4.75% APY depending on term. Rates are variable for savings accounts and fixed for CDs.

Are my deposits protected?

CTGMC is licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Switzerland. As an international bank, deposits are not covered by a government-backed deposit insurance scheme like FDIC. Your funds are safeguarded by CTGMC's capital reserves and FSC prudential oversight. Is there a minimum balance requirement?

Our SmartSave and Kids Savings accounts have no minimum opening deposit. The Platinum Savings account requires a €10,000 balance to earn the highest tier rate. CDs require a minimum of €500 to €1,000 depending on term.

How do I open a savings account?

Opening a savings account takes less than 5 minutes online. You'll need your Social Security Number, a valid photo ID, and your initial deposit amount. Existing CTGMC customers can open a savings account directly from their dashboard in just a few clicks.
