Common Questions

What is the maximum age for a used car loan?
CTGMC finances pre-owned vehicles up to 10 model years old. The vehicle must also have fewer than 150,000 miles and a clean title. Vehicles older than 10 years may still qualify through our Classic Vehicle Loan program — contact us for details.
What is GAP insurance and do I need it?
GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance covers the difference between what you owe on your loan and the car's actual cash value if it's totaled or stolen. It's especially recommended if you financed more than 80% of the vehicle's value. CTGMC offers GAP coverage directly — ask your loan officer for pricing.
Can I refinance a loan from another lender?
Yes! CTGMC's Auto Refinance product accepts loans from most other lenders. To qualify, your vehicle must be less than 10 years old, have fewer than 120,000 miles, and your current loan must have at least €5,000 remaining. There's no application fee and you can complete the entire process online.
Is a down payment required?
A down payment is not strictly required, but putting 10–20% down can significantly lower your monthly payment and reduce your total interest cost. Borrowers with excellent credit (750+) may qualify for 100% financing on new vehicles. A trade-in vehicle can also serve as a down payment.
